The award-winning comedy ‘Stones in his Pockets’ arrives at the Dubai Community Theatre in March. ‘Stones in his Pockets’ is the hilarious and sometimes poignant tale of a quiet Irish community and its change by the arrival of a massive Hollywood movie shoot. Winner of the prestigious Olivier & Evening Standard awards for Best Comedy after running for four record breaking years in London’s West End, it also ran on Broadway, where it received a Tony Award nomination for Best Comedy.
Universally loved by all who see it, ‘Stones in his Pockets’ has a disarming simplistic charm all of its own. The entire story is brought to life by two highly talented West End actors who play over 15 characters between them in a triumph of characterization and physical comedy. From the two cheeky Irish lads intent on becoming big movie players to the diva lead Hollywood actress, whose Irish accent leaves a lot to be desired, ‘Stones In His Pockets’ stands out as one of the most unique plays of its time.
The production will play for a total of 5 performances at the Centrepoint Theatre, Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre at the Mall of the Emirates.
